Itinery
Day 01 :
Arrival in Addis Ababa – Flight to Bahir Dar
- Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, connect to a domestic flight to Bahir Dar, a beautiful lakeside city.
- After check-in, enjoy a relaxing exploration of Lake Tana, including a boat excursion to visit ancient monasteries such as Ura Kidane Mehret.
- End the day with a sunset view from Bezawit Hill overlooking the Blue Nile.
Day 02 :
Blue Nile Falls & Gondar Castles
- In the morning, take a scenic trip to the Blue Nile Falls (Tis Issat), one of Ethiopia's most iconic natural wonders.
- Afterward, drive to Gondar, the “Camelot of Africa.”
- Explore the Royal Enclosure, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring castles, palaces, and the famous Debre Berhan Selassie Church, renowned for its angelic ceiling art.
Day 03 :
Flight to Lalibela – The Rock-Hewn Churches
- Fly to Lalibela, Ethiopia’s crown jewel and pilgrimage site.
- Spend the day exploring the legendary 12th-century rock-hewn churches, including Bete Medhane Alem, Bete Giyorgis, and the connected underground tunnel system.
- Witness spiritual ceremonies and meet local priests who help preserve this sacred legacy.
Day 04 :
Simien Mountains National Park
- Head to the Simien Mountains, one of Africa's most dramatic landscapes and home to unique wildlife including the Gelada baboon.
- Enjoy a short trek or scenic drive through the park’s highlands and viewpoints.
- Picnic lunch included. Return to Gondar in the evening.
Day 05 :
Leisure & Departure
- Enjoy a relaxed morning in Lalibela, with optional visits to a local village or market.
- After check-out, fly back to Addis Ababa for your international departure, carrying with you the timeless spirit of Northern Ethiopia.
