Itinerary
Depart Nairobi and drive down to the floor of Great Rift Valley and into Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in this park. This shallow Soda Lake has been
famous for its flamingos but has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more
than 400 species of bird found here. You may get out of the vehicle at the lake shore to get a closer
look at the birds. The nearby cliffs offer sightings of baboons, birds of prey and scurrying hyraxes, as
well as great views of the park. The national park covers 180 sq km and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard as well as white and black rhinos which
were introduced to the park some years ago. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Breakfast at the lodge. Proceed for an extended morning game drive in the park. Depart for Lake
Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon proceed for a boat ride in this fresh water lake to view the hippos. This is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus is almost 13 km's across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five meters. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Visit the Crescent Island. There is just one “Crescent Island Game Park”. It is simply one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya, often called Naivasha’s best kept secret. It is private, secure and patrolled by Guides who can accompany anyone who wishes for guided walk. Surrounded by water, it is actually a peninsular. Dinner and overnight at Lodge.
Leisurely breakfast at the lodge. Depart for Nairobi to arrive early afternoon. You can also opt to visit Hell’s Gate National Park (extra cost for park fees to be paid direct USD 26pp) before departing for Nairobi. Drop off at the airport.
